Photo of the Day

SWIPE ????to zoom in ????????????. More playing with Instagram’s new multi shot feature. Photo of the inside of a bromeliad in bloom. These plants are practically entire ecosystems on their own. The center “cup” (where it blooms) holds water, and is home to all kinds of life, like the little ant you see when you zoom in. Taken in my “wild” backyard.

Photo of the Day

This is Victoria, one of the rescued horses who has found haven at Equestrian Inc Horse Rescue. Their mission is to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome horses who have been abused or whose owners can no longer care for them.

They welcomed us in for one of the photo workshops I taught this past weekend at the Tampa Bay Photo Shootout. Working with great organizations like this is one of the things I love most about what I do!

Photo of the Day

I love using longer lenses for landscapes, picking out details along the skyline. This is from the boat ramp at Ochlocknee River State Park, a very different composition from the wide angle shot of this scene I posted a few days ago.

Photo of the Day

Eastern Gray Squirrel ready to chow down on a fresh. tasty acorn.

Got my hands on a brand new Tamron 150-600 G2 to try out. I was really curious to see how much better it was than the G1 (bottom line, it was soooo nice!). First creature I could find on the campus at St. Pete College to take a pic of , and a very cooperative one too!

Photo of the Day – Sunrise Sentinels

The
The “sunrise sentinels”, crows at first light in the #Everglades. Always been fascinated by crows, very complex and intelligent creatures, loved watching the interactions of these three.
